How we protect your account and your clients' data.
Case files carry real client confidentiality obligations. Here's what's actually in place, in plain terms.
Encrypted everywhere
Every page is served over SSL/TLS (HTTPS) — connections between your browser and CourtDateCoverage are encrypted end to end, with HTTP Strict Transport Security enforced so a connection can never silently fall back to an unencrypted one.
Two-factor authentication for admin
Every admin account is required to set up two-factor authentication (an authenticator app, not just a password) before it can access anything — the single highest-value account on the platform gets the strongest protection.
Payment data never touches our servers
Card and bank account details are handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor — CourtDateCoverage never receives, stores, or has access to a raw card or account number.
Data isolation by design
Row-level access controls in the database mean a firm's case data is only ever visible to that firm's own approved members and the specific attorney matched to a case — enforced at the database layer, not just in the app's interface.
Confidential handoff
Privileged case materials stay locked until a matched attorney confirms their appearance and formally acknowledges confidentiality — a signed, timestamped attestation logged against that specific match.
Bot and abuse protection
Sign-up, login, and password reset are protected by rate limiting and CAPTCHA verification, so automated scripts can't brute-force credentials or spam accounts the way an unprotected form would allow.
